About me up to 2015 I grew up in the beautiful country of Brasil and have lived, worked and explored the vast reaches of this incredible land for much of my life. Traveling has always been in my blood and when I finished my formal education in telecommunication and electrical engineering, I began a long, fulfilling and successful career in the technology industry as an executive for IBM. As it turned out, my work as well as vacation has taken me to many interesting places throughout the world. In 2010 I decided to take a sabbatical to enjoy life of a different flavor, focusing my interest on photography and scuba diving. After 3 years, the corporate life did not appeal to me any longer. Nature and photography became my new challenge. Photography has always attracted me, but not until I became a scuba diver had the spark truly ignited. My interest in underwater photography began to inspire me in new ways. The first dive experience for me was in 1996 when I was on vacation in the Caribbean. Shortly after I found myself diving all over the world. I was fascinated with that new and strange colorful world and wanted to share it with others who did not have the same opportunity to be underwater. The first images I took were taken in the Galapagos Islands with a point and shoot camera. Today, they look amateuristic, but that became the turning point for me. Since then I have become enamored with nature photography as a craft and as an art form. I'm happy to be able to share with everyone the wonders and beauties of this fragile universe and champion people to understand the importance of conservation. I have my home the San Francisco bay area, a region I have always loved and enjoyed visiting in the past. My travels continue to take me to many new, exotic and hard to reach locations around the world, attempting to capture the timeless beauty and to bring to you the special images. I hope you will feel the same passion of my photographic discoveries as I have and take away with you some of the magic that has inspired the collection of these images.
